THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY

The human migration that happened in Africa played a key role in the way the cultural landscape of Africa is now. This human movement shaped the way goods and services were spread throughout the world.

The two majors migrations that happened was the Bantu and the African slave trade. The Bantu migration happened over 2,000 years ago.  The Bantu Migration was a south-eastern movement. The Bantu migration had an enormous impact on the African economic, cultural and political practices. the Bantu migration introduced many skills to communities one of them being the ability to grow and cultivate crops and how to forge and make tools and weapons from metal. this allowed the communities to spread and cultivate new land of wide physical properties. The widespread and exchange of ideas helped the hunter gatherer communities evolve into more advanced communities that were far more efficient. This was the beginning of what we know as Africa today. No one really knows why the Bantu migration occurred. There is not one solid reason why, but I conclude that maybe they just wanted a change of scenery.
The Bantu people tended to live in small villages governed by chiefs, councils or elders. The location of Bantu villages were never permanent. They moved on when the resources in the land became exhausted.

I mean the Bantu tribe was highly advanced for their era. Their nomadic nature helped spread farming practices and also had a large influence on political and social practices. No wonder everyone one wants a piece of Africa. The vast amount of resources that is available in Africa. Yet since we haven't developed fully as a continent. Our people lack the knowledge on how to exploit these resources to make a profit. The beginning of Africa wasn't always easy. Africa still remains broken and somewhat divided over past historical events like the slave trade. but believe it or not the slave trade also had a huge impact on the worlds cultural practices today.

Stay listening its just the beginning

NOT JUST THE AFRICA YOU SEE ON TV

Before you jump to the conclusion that WOW! Africa is a great holiday destination let me tell you a few things first about the historic culture. How my ancestor went through quite a grueling process, that actually helped the development of the many African cultures we see in the modern world today. First of all the very first hunter gatherers in Africa after the whole evolution of course were known as homo habils then later evolved to a more advanced species called homo erectus.  the homo erectus species were the first to successfully migrate and populate the world. although Africa has the highest number of developing countries it is still the land of the most resources. Being rich in both oil and other resources.

This human movement played a massive role in the cultural landscape of Africa. it is due o this migration that we have such a diversity of cultures in Africa. this post is quite short but before we get into the history of the three main tribes.

Have a look at this tourist video for one of  the countries in Africa. I think you'll find that is is quite different from the ads you see on TV. Yes they're people seriously suffering from severe poverty and something needs to be done but Africa's economy is thriving and has the potential to be be a great continent.

Welcome to the capital of Nigeria one of Africa's richest countries.

hope you enjoy the the video til next week!

UNIQUE IN ITS OWN ENTIRITY

😃😃 Yes I know everyone has been waiting so here it is the first post! how exciting

Africa has been commonly nicknamed “The Mother Continent” due to it being the oldest inhabited continent on Earth. Africa is the second largest continent on earth and is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Atlantic Ocean.  It is almost split into two equal parts by the equator.
Now I’ve given you the basic facts let’s get past the “boring stuff’ and talk about the real Africa. To give you some background info on the person you are actual person you are listening to. My name is Favour and I was born in Ireland but my parents are originally from Nigeria. They speak Igbo and grew up in village called Arochukwu.
The geography of Africa is not an easy thing to discuss Africa is full of many different cultures but that’s what makes it unique. The diverse blend of culture and belief. Throughout my Blog I will try and summarize in a short time. First off Africa is home to more countries than any other continent in the world but that’s not the only thing that sets Africa apart from the rest of the world. It is the unique culture that Africa possess that makes me so interested in it. Why?
Because “The way you choose to convey the message is as important as the message” – Mr. Lydon

That’s it for today guys since I don’t want to bamboozle you with too much information. I’ll leave you with that short quote above. This isn’t just a Blog about Africa it’s an account of people’s lives, their culture and why Africa is the way it is now.

Stay motivated
